Confessions of an Artist

So…my life. It’s changed drastically in the last 2 years. I’ve had the same girlfriends since I was 12 years old. Unfortunately they aren’t my friends anymore. It really sucks growing up and apart. People get married, have babies, move away…and we all change. I know I know, that’s life. I have been doing the same thing since I was 18. I moved out of my parents house and started my life, so to speak. It was great. I was so excited to finally be free. I had a few steady boyfriends over the years but mainly it was just me and the girls.  Going out constantly, meeting new people, having sleep overs. I’d say it was a great life so far. Filled with lots of fun and adventure. But in the last 2 years I have lost all of my friends, I won’t say why. It’s complicated. Now I’m engaged and very happy with him. But, I can’t help but miss my friends and that life I once had. I know its just a stage in life everyone goes through, it passes. The point that I’m trying to get at is…me and my fiance don’t want kids. So if we never have any will we ever make friends again? It’s been hard to make friends in the last year that are couples. It never works. I will be 25 next week, I know I have a long time to make friends. But isn’t that what keeps you sane? You’re friends are the ones can go to get advice about your fiance or husband or whatever, or just vent ya know. I love my fiance but is this what it’s going to be like for the rest of our lives if we don’t have children??
