Etsy Shop Update

I have decided not to close my Etsy shop just yet. I have received a ton of convos with sad buyers. Soooo I will keep it open thru Christmas and see how it goes. If I’m still not getting anything I’m closing it. At least for now. I might reopen later on. I will still have my account though b/c I am a buyer too.

New Etsy Shop!

I will be opening a new Etsy shop that is specifically for my digital retouching. I have alot of people that want me to retouch their photos for them and I’ve been doing it for free. But I am getting overwhelmed. It’s taking all of my free time so I’m going to start charging. Also I’ve gotten better at it so more and more people are interested.

Here are some examples that will be in the new shop:

Hair Manipulation

In this before and after I used a mask to fix her hair and softened her skin. I think it’s a good improvement from the harsh lighting on her hair in the before.

I did these in photoshop cs3. I learned most of it at my new job because I have to photoshop the big prints, it’s so fun I love it. Anywho, this is my friend Jordan and her daughter Jayda and then 2 stock photos at the bottom. They are such cute little models.

Etsy Editing Photos Tip

I was in the Etsy chat rooms last nite (like I am every night if you would like to chat with me!) and I got this really great tip from Dennis Anderson. He said after you resize and edit your photos in a photo shop program you should go into Windows Live Photo Gallery and adjust the lighting on the photos. If you don’t have Windows Live Photo Gallery here is the link, it’s free, http://get.live.com/photogallery/overview. You would not believe the difference it makes in your pictures!!
