Best Buy is not the best buy…

So….

I went to Best Buy to return my camera I’ve had for 2 years. It’s been acting up for the last 6 months. I got the 4 year plan which the girl that worked there told me that if anything ever happened to it in the 4 years I could bring it in and get the newest model of the camera. BULL SHIT! That’s apparently not at ALL what I paid $80 extra dollars for. I had to send off the damn camera so they can “fix it” and I won’t get it back for a month or longer. Next time I decide to buy a plan (if I ever do again) I will not be so trusting of the employee and just read the damn plan myself. So now I’m out of a camera for a month. Thank God I work for a photographer who can take pictures of my artwork before I put it up for sale.

What did I learn from this experience? Never trust a salesman.

New Laptop Skin

This is my new laptop skin I got for Christmas..it JUST came in the mail. It looks great and all but shit I ordered it like a month and a half ago, I didn’t think it was ever going to get here. I got it from Tego.com. It’s Fafi, my favorite artist. I love it!

I haven’t had any time at all to write in here. I have been crazy busy at work, home, and Etsy. I finally got all of my Christmas shopping done but am still waiting on 4 items from Ebay to come in. Everything is wrapped and ready to go. I’m going to Fairhope for Christmas with Neil for a few days. Can’t wait! I need a break, and girl time with my sista. I haven’t had even an hour to myself in 2 weeks. But I’m getting off work early today because we are slowing down and I have nothing left to do right now. I’m hoping I can finish ALL of my Etsy orders today but I doubt it. I spend too much time on one image and obsess over it.

Exciting news:

I’m getting a wacom bamboo fun tablet for Christmas!!!! I will post all that good stuff after I get it. Can’t wait!! This is going to make things go much faster and better for me.

Oh and I’m having a sale on my www.pixfixx.etsy.com site for Christmas. ALL of my listings are discounted until Jan. 1st.

My New Hobby – Embroidery!

So I started my very first embroidery bag today. I’m half way thru already. I’m copying this pillow from anthropologie. I love their patterns, they are just too darn expensive for my budget right now. I think it’s going to be wonderful. I was going to use it as a gym bag/purse. I’ll post when I finish it.

If anyone actually keeps up with my blog, sorry I haven’t posted lately. I have been doing alot of manipulations for my new pixfixx site and working late. Christmas time is crazy for a photography studio. Anywho, I need to go to sleep…I want to stay up and finish my bag but I would be up all night if I did that. It will have to wait. Goodnight!

I have repriced all of my items in my Etsy shop for the holidays. It’s super cheap! Not that my jewelry is cheaply made, because it’s not. But I just need to get rid of this stuff. I’m running out of room! lol I have a million beads that I haven’t even used. My craft room is overwhelmed. I have so many hobbies that I want to start on and I can’t because I don’t have room. I got a new free craft table from work and my rooms not even big enough to set it up. I can’t wait til we move to a bigger place! But anywho, check it out…
